D Day, June 6th, 1944

Today marks 68 years since D Day in 1944.

During the course of my life, I have known three Men who were among those that stormed the beaches on that day. It wasn't something they cared to talk much about. And while they didn't know each other, to a man they described it as the most horrifying experience of their lives.

Every Man that participated in that operation was a Hero. Every one.

The American, Canadian and British troops that did the fighting and dying that day changed the course of the war and in doing so, changed the future of our world for the better.

We are losing our WW II verterans at an astounding rate these days. Most of them are in their late 80's or early 90's now. If you have a chance to thank one of these Heroes for their service and sacrifice, take it, you may not have many more...
